Pharmacy Business Ownership Administration System (PBOAS)
PBOAS is now available for submitting pharmacy business licence applications online. Designed to be applicant‑focused, familiar, and efficient, it offers a smoother and more consistent experience for users compared to the manual process.
Manual process to apply for a pharmacy business licence
To apply for a pharmacy business licence, please follow these steps.
- Download Form 1A – Application for a pharmacy business licence - Natural person and/or corporation and relevant annexures.
- If the applicant is a friendly society or the Mater Misericordiae Ltd, download Form 1B - Application for a pharmacy business licence - Friendly society or Mater Misericordiae Ltd and relevant annexures.
- Review the guidance material available on this website for information on how to complete the forms.
- Prepare application by completing relevant forms, annexures and gathering supporting documents.
- Log into PBOAS, select 'New Application' then 'Form 1(a): Document upload - manual application for a pharmacy business licence' and follow the steps to upload relevant forms, annexures and supporting documents. Click submit.
- Pay the application fee advised by the Council via BPOINT and keep a copy of the receipt.
- Respond to requests from the Council and await decision.
