Part 10 of the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2024 (PBO Act) contains provisions relevant to:
- internal reviews
- stays
- external reviews; and
- appeals.
These provisions detail the processes to be followed for the review, stay and appeal of decisions made under the PBO Act.
Internal reviews
Affected persons can apply to the Council for an internal review of a decision using:

You must apply for internal review:
- within 20 business days after you were given an information notice in respect of the original decision, or
- if you were not given an information notice – within 20 business days after you became aware of the original decision.
You may be able to ask the Council for an extension of time if required.
