Complaints about pharmacy businesses or pharmacists in Queensland

If you are a member of the public with a complaint about the service you have received at a pharmacy business or from a pharmacist, please provide that information to the Office of the Health Ombudsman at https://www.oho.qld.gov.au/public.

The form below should only be used to report possible non-compliance with the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2024(PBO Act).

Report possible non-compliance with the PBO Act

The Queensland Pharmacy Business Ownership Council (Council) is responsible for administering the PBO Act.

Use this form to report possible non-compliance with the PBO Act involving a pharmacy business and any of the following:

  • A pharmacy owner who may not be eligible to own a pharmacy
  • A pharmacy owner who may not be a fit and proper person
  • A person who may have a material interest in a pharmacy where they may not be permitted to hold that interest (or may not be a fit and proper person)
  • A pharmacy business operating from premises that may not be authorised premises
  • A person who is not the owner of a pharmacy business (third party) who may be exercising control over medicines or health services which is not permitted under the PBO Act
  • Other concerns about possible breaches of the PBO Act.

We collect this information so that we can contact you about your report. You may also report anonymously, however our ability to consider the report may be limited without further information and we will not be able to provide you with updates or information about the outcome.
